The Rite of Spring, Polish National Ballet

I had the wonderful privilege in 2013 to work with dance historian and choreography team Millicent Hodson and Kenneth Archer on a book called ‘The Lost Rite’. The book depicts their research and piecing together and reconstruction of ‘The Rite of Spring’ ballet from 1913. I flew out to Warsaw to photograph the production performed by the Polish National Ballet. I also had the opportunity to capture moments of dancers getting ready backstage with all the details of the wigs, makeup, costumes and shoes. Later I was the book designer and over 400 photographs of the ballet were included in the book to show the intricate and complex choreography. The book can be purchased via blurb on: Blurb.co.uk
